Chicken Wrapped In Paper Recipe

Ingredients:

1 chicken, cut into bite-size pieces

6 shiitake mushrooms, soft and cut into thin strips

Cooking oil for frying

2.5 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp dark soy sauce

2 tbsp rice wine or brandy

Pepper to taste

1 tsp ginger, cut into thin strips

3 big sheets cellophane paper

 

Method:

Season the chicken with oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, rice wine, pepper and ginger for 30 minutes. Cut the sheets of cellophane paper into 5" square or other suitable size. Wrap each piece of chicken with 1 or 2 sheets of cellophane paper. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Put the packets of chicken and fry for about 15 minutes. Turning occasionally. Drain on absorbent paper towels. Serve hot.
