Steamed Bananas In Coconut Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

5 large bananas

6 tbsp thick coconut milk

3 tbsp soft brown sugar

pinch of turmeric

pinch of salt

2 tbsp lemon or lime juice

Method:

Steam the unpeeled bananas in a steamer and steam for 10 to 15 minutes. Bring the coconut milk to the boil in a pan. Stir in the sugar, turmeric and salt. Stir until sugar dissolves. Remove pan from heat and add in lemon or lime juice. Stir. Remove bananas from steamer and peel 2 strips of skin from each banana and spoon a little sauce on to the flesh. Serve the bananas with the remaining sauce serves separately.
