Fruits And Jelly Strawberry Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

one sponge cake (refer sponge cake)

Filling:

1/2 packet agar-agar powder

300ml water

150g sugar

dash of strawberry essence

few sliced strawberries

1 canned peach (sliced)

2 kiwi fruits (peeled and sliced)

4 egg whites

40g sugar

Jelly:

1/2 packet agar-agar powder

300ml water

70g sugar

Method:

  1. Cut sponge cake into same size as baking tin. Place sponge cake in baking tin.

  2. Filling: Combine agar-agar powder, water and sugar then bring to boil. Stir in strawberry essence. Set aside.

  3. Beat egg whites with sugar till stiff. Pour in agar-agar mixture (from step 2) and stir well. Evenly spread over cake. Top with various fruits. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes.

  4. Jelly: Bring all jelly ingredients to boil. When slightly cooled, pour onto refrigerated cake. Allow to cool before serving.
