Chocolate Pecan Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients: Makes 30

120 g butter

60 g soft brown sugar

160 g plain flour

1 egg

1 tbsp cocoa powder

60 g chocolate bits

60 g pecan nuts

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/8 tsp soda powder

Method:

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Sift plain flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and soda powder. Beat butter and sugar until light and creamy. Add egg and beat until well mixed. Add flour and stir until well mixed. Then add chocolate bits and pecan nuts and knead to form a dough. Chill for about one hour. Shape dough into 2 cm balls. Flatten out slightly with fingertips. Place on baking tray which is greased, floured or lined with baking paper. Bake for 20 minutes. Place biscuits on wire rack to let it cool.
